Artificial Intelligence Policy
Last updated: May 26, 2026
FitGo uses AI systems to generate fitness coach responses, suggest routines, and estimate certain meals. These outputs must be verified.
These pages describe FitGo's current and planned practices. They must stay aligned with the app, App Store Connect, and the providers actually used.
AI providers
- Anthropic processes AI coach messages and proposals through a FitGo server function.
- OpenAI processes meal photos or descriptions to produce nutrition estimates.
- API keys remain server-side and are not included in the iOS app.
Limits
- AI can be wrong, hallucinate, miss context, or suggest an unsuitable option.
- AI does not replace a doctor, nutritionist, physiotherapist, kinesiologist, or certified trainer.
- AI must not be used for an emergency, diagnosis, treatment, or medical decision.
Requests refused or redirected
FitGo may refuse or redirect requests related to medical diagnosis, injury treatment, eating disorders, extreme weight loss, doping, steroids, emergencies, or training despite serious pain.
Data sent
Messages, goals, useful history, check-ins, reported pain, nutrition, and statistics may be included in the AI context when needed to provide the requested feature. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information.
